RIGHT NOW, AUTHORITIES ARE SEARCHING FOR AN ARMED SUSPECT WHO THEY SAY SHOT AND KILLED A DEPUTY LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. THIS IS MICHAEL PUCKETT. ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF\u2019S OFFICE, AROUND 930 LAST NIGHT, PUCKETT OPENED FIRE ON TWO DEPUTIES DURING A WELFARE CHECK AT A HOME ON FANCY GAP HIGHWAY THAT\u2019S ABOUT SEVEN MILES NORTHWEST OF MOUNT AIRY, THE SHERIFF\u2019S OFFICE SAYS ONE OF THE DEPUTIES DIED AT THE SCENE. THE SECOND DEPUTY IS IN STABLE CONDITION AFTER THE SHOTS HIT HIS BALLISTIC VEST. AUTHORITIES SAY IF ANYONE SEES PUCKETT, DO NOT APPROACH HIM BUT CALL 911 RIGHT AWAY. DEVELOPING NOW. GREG BIFFLE, EX-WIFE, IS SUING OVER THE DECEMBER PLANE CRASH THAT KILLED THE FORMER NASCAR DRIVER AND SIX OTHERS. NICOLE BIFFLE IS THE MOTHER OF GREG BIFFLE, 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER EMMA, WHO WAS ALSO KILLED IN THE CRASH. SHE IS SUING THE ESTATES OF THE PILOT AND HER EX-HUSBAND, ALONG WITH THE AVIATION LEASING COMPANY THAT BIFFLE MANAGED. SHE IS SEEKING DAMAGES FOR WRONGFUL DEATH, PAIN AND SUFFERING AND LOSS OF COMPANIONSHIP. THE LAWSUIT ACCUSES THE PILOT OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE, ALLEGING HE DID NOT FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOLS BEFORE OR DURING THE FLIGHT. IT CLAIMS HE IGNORED WARNING LIGHTS, ENGINE ISSUES AND WEATHER CONDITIONS IN HIGH POINT. POLICE SAY THEY ARE INVESTIGATING A MURDER SUICIDE. LAST NIGHT, POLICE SAY THEY WENT TO AN APARTMENT ON CHESTER RIDGE DRIVE TO CONDUCT A WELFARE CHECK ON 21 OR 20 YEAR OLD. YULISSA DUARTE. OFFICERS SAY NO ONE ANSWERED THE DOOR, AND WHEN THEY LOOKED THROUGH A WINDOW, THEY SAW A PERSON ON THE FLOOR. WHEN THEY GOT INSIDE, POLICE SAY THEY FOUND DUARTE AND 22 YEAR OLD KEVIN SANCHEZ DEAD FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS. INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE SANCHEZ SHOT DUARTE AND THEN HIMSELF. THEY SAY THAT THE TWO HAD PREVIOUSLY DATED. IN GREENSBORO. A FORMER DEAN AT CALDWELL ACADEMY IS IN JAIL ACCUSED OF CHILD SEX CRIMES INVOLVING A STUDENT. 31 YEAR OLD MICHAEL BOSMA WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON THURSDAY AND CHARGED WITH FELONY INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH A STUDENT. IN COURT, PROSECUTORS SAY BOSMA WAS IN AN INAPPROPRIATE RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE OF HIS STUDENTS FROM AUGUST OF 2024 UNTIL MAY OF 2025. POLICE SAY PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP STARTED AFTER THE STUDENT GRADUATED. OZEROV WAS GIVEN A $30,000 BOND. IN A STATEMENT, CALDWELL ACADEMY SAY SAID THEY LEARNED ABOUT THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HIM IN APRIL. THE SCHOOL THEN RESTRICTED HIS ACCESS TO CAMPUS AND INITIATED AN INTERNAL REVIEW. HE LEFT THE SCHOOL SHORTLY AFTER. THIS MORNING, A MAN IS IN JAIL IN GEORGIA FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION IN ALAMANCE COUNTY. U-S MARSHALS ARRESTED MONTE YANG IN WINDER, GEORGIA, NOT FAR FROM ATLANTA. HE\u2019S CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF FELONY INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH A MINOR AND ONE COUNT OF DISSEMINATION TO MINORS. THE INVICTUS TASK FORCE BEGAN INVESTIGATING AFTER RECEIVING\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
