Alex Rodriguez\u2019s ex-girlfriend\u00a0Jaclyn Cordeiro is prioritizing \u201cpeace\u201d in her life just days following her breakup with the former MLBer. <\/a><\/p>\n

Last week, the 46-year-old fitness instructor took to Instagram to post a picture of herself lounging by a pool in a silver bikini while admitting she has realized \u201cpeace is the new luxury.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeace comes from protecting your energy, releasing control, and giving yourself permission to rest,\u201d she wrote before adding three ways for her followers to achieve it. <\/p>\n

The first reason being, \u201cprotect your time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeace often starts with boundaries. Not every call, invitation, conflict, or expectation deserves access to you,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Cordeiro followed with \u201caccept what you can\u2019t control\u201d and emphasized those to \u201cfocus energy where you actually have influence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her third and final rule \u201cmake space for yourself without guilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEven one quiet hour to rest, walk, sit in the sun, or do nothing is not selfish. It\u2019s maintenance for the person carrying so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cordeiro\u2019s post follows her breakup with Rodriguez, which she shared to TMZ last week. The two had been separated about two months before making it public. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families,\u201d Cordeiro said. \u201cWe remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there. Alex and I continue to be very close, and out of respect for everyone involved, especially our daughters and loved ones, I\u2019d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez and Cordeiro had been together for over three years before the split. <\/p>\n
