A man on a weight loss medication which has been referred to as ‘super ozempic’ has shared before and after pictures of using the treatment.<\/p>\n

Retatrutide is a variant of GLP-1 medication which is being developed by Eli Lilly, who manufacture Mounjaro.<\/p>\n

GLP-1 medications were originally licensed for the treatment of diabetes, but one of the effects of the medication is a reduction in appetite and feeling more full with less food<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This means that when combined with diet and exercise the mediations can be a big help in weight loss, and GLP-1 medications are available on the NHS<\/a> for patients who meet certain conditions.<\/p>\n

GLP-1 medications use hormones, but the retatrutide drug takes this further, influencing three different hormones in the body, which in theory makes it more effective at assisting with weight loss.<\/p>\n

Retatrutide is still in development, and is not currently available in the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, one man has taken to social media<\/a> to share his thoughts on trying out the drug.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, @ChaseIrons<\/a> shared a before and after picture of using the medication, with a dramatic difference.<\/p>\n

The first picture showed him before the medication, showing a gym physique.<\/p>\n

Then in the second photo he has lost a dramatic amount of weight, looking much skinnier and still toned.<\/p>\n

In the caption on the post, he wrote: “3 years ago today I was 270 and 36 and today I am 200 and 39. No ragrets [sic]”.<\/p>\n

Another post shared underneath the first one read: “A lot of you think this transformation is about looking better\u2026. It\u2019s about being healthier and living longer. I don\u2019t give a shit how i look anymore. I\u2019m just glad i was able to get off the juice and give myself a chance to see my kids grow old.”<\/p>\n

He went on to claim that he has lost 85lbs ‘over the course of the last two years’ in a separate post, and that the ‘average weight loss’ was about that during this period.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve basically done exactly what the research did. Go tell Eli Lilly they\u2019re dumb they only made the greatest fucking weight loss product in the history of the world that we are all loving,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Retatrutide is still in development, and in stage three clinical trials before it could become available in the UK, though GLP-1 medications are already available on the NHS for weight loss for people who have a health<\/a> condition associated with their weight.<\/p>\n
