Nebraska commit Trae Taylor, a 4-star prospect in the class of 2027, was named the MVP of the prestigious Elite 11 competition on Sunday.<\/p>\n
247Sports’ composite<\/a> ranks Taylor as the No. 4 quarterback in the 2027 class. He committed to the Cornhuskers over offers from Alabama, Georgia and Auburn, among others. 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins described him as a “precision passer with a good feel for the position that has a chance to emerge as a trusted facilitator on Saturdays and then potentially Sundays.”<\/p>\n During Sunday’s session, Taylor connected<\/a> on 16 of his 20 passes and racked up seven touchdowns, tying<\/a> for the highest on the day.<\/p>\n Other standouts included Virginia Tech four-star commit Peter Bourque, Miami four-star commit Israel Abrams and uncommitted three-star Ryan Rakowski, who all joined Taylor in throwing seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n Still, the day belonged to Taylor, who will help stabilize the quarterback position for Nebraska following the departure of former starter Dylan Raiola, who transferred to Oregon this offseason. Sophomore signal-caller T.J.
