Fake accounts on X are annoying, for sure, but when they fool someone equally as annoying as Skip Bayless like one did with a fake Indiana Fever<\/a> rumor involving head coach Stephanie White, we don\u2019t mind them as much.<\/p>\n

Amid the ongoing controversy between White<\/a> and Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark<\/a>, both of whom continue to clash, a fake account posted a rumor that White had been let go and that one of Clark\u2019s college coaches, Jan Jensen, was expected to replace White.<\/p>\n

Along with the account itself, Bayless should have been immediately tipped off by the part of the fake report that said Jansen would simultaneously coach the Fever and Iowa, which is just ridiculous.<\/p>\n

Instead, Bayless bought every word of it<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo surprise: Stephanie White reportedly out after repeated in-game clashes with Caitlin Clark,\u201d he wrote on X. on Sunday evening \u201cNot saying White was wrong \u2013 but YOU CAN\u2019T SHOW UP THE FACE OF THE LEAGUE ON CAMERA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCaitlin obviously wants a favorite of hers from Iowa, Jan Jensen. But no way Jensen can coach both,\u201d Bayless added.<\/p>\n

Credit to Bayless, he didn\u2019t delete the tweet and later acknowledged he had been duped<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He still believes White\u2019s days are numbered.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow they\u2019re saying reports are erroneous about Stephanie White. But the point is, she won\u2019t last much longer clashing during games with CAITLIN CLARK \u2026 even if her issues with Caitlin are mostly valid,\u201d Bayless said.<\/p>\n

There have always been hints that something is off between the Fever superstar and her head coach, but that came to a head recently.<\/p>\n

During Indiana\u2019s last game against the Portland Fire<\/a>, Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White were clearly arguing on the bench.<\/p>\n

It got so bad that White appeared to throw Clark out of the team huddle.<\/p>\n

Being the polarizing figure she is, we\u2019ve seen no shortage of different takes on who is to blame for this entire situation.<\/p>\n

Clark\u2019s most ardent supporters, like Bayless, for example, believe White and the WNBA are doing more to bring Clark down than lift her up as the face of the league.<\/p>\n
