The Giants held a high-profile wide receiver<\/a> workout Monday morning, featuring Odell Beckham Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster, Braxton Berrios and Anthony Miller.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first winner of the competition? Berrios.<\/p>\n

Giants fans clamoring for a reunion with Beckham, though, did not have to wait long with the team also signing their former star later in the day on Monday.<\/a><\/p>\n

Gunner Olszewski went down last Friday<\/a> to a season-ending torn right Achilles tendon. That loss meant the Giants were down numbers at the position, with Malik Nabers (knee)<\/a> and Darius Slayton (sports hernia) both coming off surgeries and not yet participating in practice.<\/p>\n

Olszewski\u2019s main role in 2025 was as a kick returner. That is where Berrios has excelled during his seven-year NFL career.<\/p>\n

He has 100 career punt returns, averaging 11.3 yards, and 91 career kickoff returns, averaging 24.9 yards.<\/p>\n

The Giants were down to nine healthy receivers \u2014 not enough to rotate players in and out during this week\u2019s organized team activity practices and next week\u2019s mandatory three-day minicamp.<\/p>\n

After the workout on the field, physicals were given to the players and that is often a determining factor, especially with these older players currently looking for work.<\/p>\n

Beckham, of course, was the marquee guy here.<\/p>\n

The 33-year old this past Saturday afternoon appeared as Brian Burns\u2019 charity softball game in Pomona and attracted long lines of Giants\u2019 fans willing to spend $100 for a picture with him \u2014 all the proceeds went to Hype 4 Life Foundation, a non-profit to support families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders.<\/p>\n

Beckham, the Giants\u2019 2014 first-round pick, did not play in the NFL in 2025 and was suspended for six games for violating the league\u2019s policy on performance enhancing drugs.<\/p>\n

He played for Giants head coach John Harbaugh with the Ravens in 2023, and Harbaugh calls Beckham<\/a> \u201cone of my very favorite people in the world.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Beckham after signing autographs and posing for pictures told The Post this about the Giants: \u201cIt\u2019s a place I never wanted to leave. And it\u2019s just a special place in my heart, just to see all of these Big Blue jerseys \u2014 just hoping for the best.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust being able to spend that time away, just made me realize some things \u2014 I left some things unfinished.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Berrios, 30, played in four games last season for the Texans.<\/p>\n

He had his best success in the league with the Jets from 2019-22 as a slot receiver and kick returner. He tore his ACL in 2024 and has appeared in only 10 games the past two seasons.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Berrios\u2019 profile differed from the other three players at the tryout.<\/p>\n

Beckham does not play special teams. Smith-Schuster, 29, has experience with Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, having played for him with the Chiefs in 2022 and again in 2024 and 2025. <\/p>\n

Schuster was a 2017 second-round draft pick of the Steelers.<\/p>\n

Miller, 31, also has ties to Nagy, as he was a 2018 second-round pick of the Bears when Nagy was the head coach in Chicago.
