\u201cHe hears it in the room, and then we tweak,\u201d the \u201cSex Education\u201d alum, 51, noted. \u201cWith that boy, you\u2019ve got to roll with the punches. He and I have an ongoing love-hate relationship that he changes it last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Waddingham insisted the series\u2019 cast members are close and it\u2019s \u201codd\u201d if they don\u2019t chat weekly, she name-dropped co-star Brett Goldstein.<\/p>\n
Sudeikis\u2019 rep did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

The actor is infamous for his \u201cTed Lasso\u201d rewrites, with the show\u2019s third season delayed for months due to his changes.<\/p>\n
Season 4, however, is set to come out on time in August.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend, Waddingham addressed her and Sudeikis\u2019 characters\u2019 complicated bond and how it \u201cbuck[s] against the norm.\u201d<\/p>\n

She and Sudeikis, respectively, have played Rebecca Welton and Ted Lasso since the show started in 2020 \u2014 and while their connection is platonic, some fans hope for more.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are undoubtedly soulmates, but that can mean a myriad of things,\u201d the singer told the outlet, adding that she \u201clove[s] all the relationships in\u201d the project.<\/p>\n
The show\u2019s second and third seasons premiered in 2021 and 2023 \u2014 with Apple TV renewing \u201cTed Lasso\u201d for a fourth in 2025.<\/p>\n

Waddingham promised fans a \u201cwhole different deal\u201d in February as Season 4 documents Lasso coaching a women\u2019s team for AFC Richmond.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone to see what they\u2019ve come up with,\u201d she gushed to Deadline<\/a> at the time \u2014 clarifying that she would act as Welton until she\u2019s 80 and \u201cwalking on a Zimmer frame\u201d if allowed.<\/p>\n\u201cI love it,\u201d she continued. \u201cI love Rebecca Welton, my character, and the writing is so magnificent. Jason Sudeikis and the writers\u2019 room, it\u2019s like a finely tuned machine.
