\n\tLex Luthor is not messing around in the \u201cSuperman<\/a>\u201d sequel.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirector James Gunn has revealed a first look at the villain\u2019s iconic warsuit, worn by star Nicholas Hoult as production on the \u201cMan of Tomorrow\u201d sequel is underway.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the DC comics, Lex Luthor builds several ultra-powerful, weaponized suits of armor to level the playing field with Superman. They give him superhuman strength, flight, force fields and a range of other powers. Based on the photo, it appears Lex won\u2019t stay in prison for long and potentially travels to a sandy planet in outer space.<\/p>\n

\n\tGunn returns to the director\u2019s chair in his DC sequel, which will put Hoult\u2019s villain and David Corenswet\u2019s Man of Steel against intergalactic foe Brainiac (Lars Eidinger). Superman is forced to team up with his greatest nemesis to defeat the super-smart cyborg in \u201cMan of Tomorrow,\u201d due in theaters on July 9, 2027.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe returning stars for the sequel include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern member Guy Gardner and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. Milly Alcock, who had a cameo as Superman\u2019s cousin Kara Zor-El, will be back for \u201cMan of Tomorrow\u201d after she headlines this summer\u2019s DC tentpole \u201cSupergirl.\u201d The sequel will also introduce Aaron Pierre to the big screen as Green Lantern member John Stewart, who is debuting in the HBO Max series \u201cLanterns.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lex Luthor is not messing around in the \u201cSuperman\u201d sequel.
