Violet Grohl<\/a> is headed to San Francisco for a headlining show of her own.<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter, who has previously appeared onstage with her father, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, is scheduled to perform an all-ages show Oct. 27 at Rickshaw Stop<\/a>. The venue holds about 350 to 400 people.<\/p>\n

General admission ticket sales, listed for $25, are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco stop comes as Grohl, 20, begins establishing herself outside one of rock\u2019s most recognizable family names. Her debut album, \u201cBe Sweet To Me,\u201d was released Friday, May 28, and leans into moody alternative rock shaped by dream pop, post-grunge guitars and the darker textures of late-1980s and 1990s indie music.<\/p>\n

The Rickshaw Stop date is part of a run of shows following the album\u2019s release, including festival appearances and dates tied to Grohl\u2019s growing solo career. Flood reported that the San Francisco concert will be presented with Popscene, the long-running local indie promoter.<\/p>\n

The show offers a much smaller setting than the stages where many Bay Area fans first encountered Grohl. She joined Foo Fighters during the band\u2019s 2023 Outside Lands headlining set<\/a> in Golden Gate Park, singing on \u201cShame Shame,\u201d \u201cThe Teacher\u201d and \u201cShow Me How.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2018, she appeared with Dave Grohl<\/a> at Oakland\u2019s Fox Theater during the Notes & Words benefit for UCSF Benioff Children\u2019s Hospitals, singing Adele\u2019s \u201cWhen We Were Young\u201d while her father accompanied her on acoustic guitar.<\/p>\n

Foo Fighters also returned to Northern California last month as one of the headlining acts at BottleRock Napa Valley<\/a>, the Memorial Day weekend festival at the Napa Valley Expo.<\/p>\n

Grohl\u2019s first widely released recording arrived in 2021, when she and her father recorded a cover of \u201cNausea\u201d by the Los Angeles punk band X. But \u201cBe Sweet To Me\u201d marks a more formal introduction, presenting her not as a guest vocalist but as a songwriter building her own catalog.<\/p>\n

The album\u2019s official listing describes it as an 11-track debut, with songs including \u201cBug In The Cake,\u201d \u201cApplefish\u201d and \u201cCool Buzz.\u201d Grohl worked with producer Justin Raisen, whose credits include Kim Gordon and Yves Tumor, and recorded the album in Los Angeles from late 2024 into early 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing into the studio and recording felt like the path that I was supposed to be on,\u201d Grohl said in a statement.<\/p>\n

She added the album was shaped by her broad listening habits, with references to trip-hop, new wave, black metal, acoustic folk, vocal jazz and alternative bands including Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, the Muffs, Bj\u00f6rk, Alice in Chains, L7 and Juliana Hatfield.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Violet Grohl is headed to San Francisco for a headlining show of her own.
