Almost one year after the final season of Queer Eye<\/a> began production, it looks like Antoni Porowski<\/a> is still scratching his beautifully styled head of hair, wondering what the hell happened that summer. \u201cFor anybody who\u2019s paying attention to how all of that ended, I was sad that I felt like it served as a distraction in honoring the countless people who\u2019ve worked on the show from day one up until the very end, and those who have come and gone \u2014 both in front of and behind the camera,\u201d the Queer Eye chef told Variety<\/a>. \u201cIf I\u2019m honest, I think I\u2019m left with more questions than answers, but what I hope is that the people who honor the show understand the help that we did and the commitment we [had].\u201d One of the biggest questions for fans leading up to the January premiere was the allegations of bullying by another cast member. Karamo Brown, a member of the Fab Five, accused the other four members of bullying. \u201cKaramo has felt mentally and emotionally abused for years,\u201d Sheinelle Jones quoted<\/a> during their Today Show appearance in January 2026. \u201cHe has been advised by his therapist to protect himself and his peace by not attending.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the past ten years, Queer Eye hasn\u2019t been without some tension within the cast. Bobby Berk<\/a>, the former interior design expert on the show, had a personal spat with Tan France, the fashion expert, before his final season and unfollowed his former co-star. He left after season 8 when his contract expired, and was replaced by France\u2019s friend, Jeremiah Brent. They eventually reconcile. Rumors of Jonathan Van Ness\u2019s alleged \u201cdemeaning\u201d behavior on set also contributed to the headlines that the Fab Five were fighting. But Porowski hopes that the good they created throughout their show can outshine any negative attention: \u201cI refuse to let however it ended be a distraction from the messaging because the messaging, I swear to you, was always real and always coming from a truthful place. That\u2019s what I choose to take with me from it.\u201d<\/p>\n
