Of course this track\u2019s arrival is a bit of a bittersweet event, given that it finds the band moving on from their Brent Hinds era. The latter guitarist\/vocalist and the band had a rocky split in early 2025, with Hinds later passing away in August of last year in a motorcycle accident.<\/p>\n<p>This new track is expected to serve as the lead single to the band\u2019s forthcoming ninth studio album, which they\u2019ve already wrapped up work on. Production credits on this track list the band as co-producers alongside Patrik Berger (Taylor Swift, Show Me The Body) and Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou.<\/p>\n<p>Song credits also confirm that this song features playing and writing contributions  the group\u2019s latest additions, namely guitarist Nick Johnston and keyboardist Jo\u00e3o Nogueira. Fans of Mastodon should also keep their eyes peeled this Tuesday, June 02nd, with word a new headlining tour expected to drop.<\/p>\n<p>Thus far an admat for that North American run, \u2018The Poisonous Weapons Tour\u2018, has emerged online via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mastodonrocks.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mastodonrocks.com<\/a> with blackgazers Deafheaven and French post-black metal outfit Alcest set to open.
