At least nine people were killed and more than 60 others
\nwere wounded in Russian strikes, with Kyiv and Dnipro among the hardest-hit
\nareas, Ukrainian authorities confirmed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported four deaths and 51
\ninjuries across multiple districts of the capital. \u201cExplosions in the city! Air
\ndefense forces are working! Stay in shelters! Power was knocked out in several
\ndistricts of the Ukrainian capital,\u201d he wrote on Telegram.<\/p>\n
A fire also broke out in a non-residential building in
\nKyiv\u2019s Podil district, while another apartment block caught fire after missile
\ndebris fell onto its roof.<\/p>\n
As the strikes on Kyiv unfolded, another Russian attack in
\nthe city of Dnipro left four people dead. Images released by local authorities
\nshowed heavily damaged residential buildings, burned vehicles, and a children\u2019s
\nplayground reduced to rubble.<\/p>\n
Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned
\nthat Russia was preparing a \u201cmassive new strike\u201d on the country. \u201cWe have intelligence
\ninformation about Russia preparing a new massive strike,\u201d Zelenskyy wrote on X,
\nurging people to \u201cprotect your lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
