The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> have been having a nightmarish season when it comes to the injury bug. Last season, the Atlanta Braves<\/a> could never catch a break with injuries to their starting rotation.<\/p>\n

This season, it seems like the Blue Jays are the team taking a constant beating. It is a shame, especially with Toronto making it to the World Series last season and forming a strong rotation this offseason.<\/a><\/p>\n

Adding Alcantara to Toronto would be a major boost, as the team is currently searching for reliable arms. Alcantara has the talent to help stabilize the rotation and push the Blue Jays back toward World Series contention.<\/p>\n

Alc\u00e1ntara is currently on a $56 million deal.<\/a> The Blue Jays would also be adding a strong clubhouse presence. When the rotation is fully healthy, having Alcantara as the fourth or fifth starter would give Toronto valuable depth. This type of move would energize the fan base and reinforce belief that a World Series run is possible.<\/p>\n
