\n\t\u201cBig names from the U.S. reality world\u201d are in negotiations to be involved with Season 2 of the world\u2019s first AI reality series, according to its creator.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpeaking at Deadline\u2019s Reality TV Summit<\/a> UK, Tom Paton teased some people \u201cknown for spearheading the reality space\u201d are in talks for Non Player Combat<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tDescribed as a \u201ccross between The Hunger Games, Fortnite and Traitors,\u201d\u00a0the show from Paton\u2019s AiMation Studios terms itself the\u00a0world\u2019s first 100% AI generated reality TV show. It sees six contestants, all AI generated, hunting each other to the death, and Season 2 is in the works. <\/p>\n

\n\tPaton didn\u2019t name those in negotiations for Season 2 or their potential involvement but said AiMation Studios has big plans for the show that airs on YouTube and streaming platform AiMation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe interest around it is kind of crazy,\u201d he told an AI panel at the Reality Summit UK. \u201cOne of the real goals for Season 2 is to make it feel more like Big Brother, where what you are watching is what happened yesterday. The episodes come in real time off the back of a simulation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAiMation has previously said it has received interest in the format from global broadcasters.<\/p>\n

\n\tMatt Campion, who runs Ed Gein: Original Psycho indie<\/a> Spirit Studios, which used AI to recreate Gein\u2019s home, surroundings and the man himself, said \u201csome broadcasters are up for [AI], some aren\u2019t, and some are up for it as long as you use their tools and their tools are s**t.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHe added that American networks are \u201caverse\u201d to funding AI content before it gets to screen.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBecause of this idea of truth, especially in true crime, they are averse to putting money in at pre-sell stage,\u201d he added. \u201cBut it doesn\u2019t mean they won\u2019t buy the finished product.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOff the back of the Gein show, Spirit Studios is making more of that ilk including \u201chuman-AI combined scenes,\u201d according to Campion. \u201cThis is additive, it doesn\u2019t take anything away and isn\u2019t trying to be too clever,\u201d he added. \u201cThe future is to move on as an indie and to be a modern-facing indie you have to embrace AI.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAlso speaking on the panel was Katrien Grobler, who runs controversial AI twinning app Twinnin<\/a>. She was speaking two days before SAG-AFTRA votes to ratify a new set of contracts in the States that will include 12 clauses around AI, all of which Twinnin is \u201ccompliant with because we protect artists and humans,\u201d Grobler said.<\/p>\n

\n\tGrobler is bullish about the speed of AI\u2019s growth and believes 99% of content will be AI generated by 2030, therefore artists\u2019 likeness needs to be protected.<\/p>\n

\n\tHer dream get for Twinnin, which clones an actors likeness that can then be sold on to studios or brands, is Matthew McConaughey, who recently trademarked his image and voice to protect them from unauthorised use by AI platforms.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe is open to AI and is a good dude,\u201d said Grobler, who added that Twinnin is working on a premium tier offering a \u201chigher level of emotion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline\u2019s Reality TV Summit UK<\/a> is running today concurrent with SXSW London.
