Riley Green<\/a> could quite possibly be one of the busiest people in country music right now.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Country Countdown USA<\/a>, Green says, “I\u2019ve taken on a lot of new ventures. I wasn\u2019t hurting for things to do already. But it\u2019s been a lot of fun. I got a taste of it with (an acting role on)\u00a0Marshals<\/a>. I thought I was busy before that.”<\/p>\n

Green’s next venture begins in September, as he will be a coach on Season 30 of The Voice.<\/p>\n

How Did Riley Green Land His Job on The Voice?<\/p>\n

Green shares two reasons that he firmly feels are behind him getting hired for\u00a0The Voice.<\/p>\n

“There were mentions that there was interest that I might be a possible candidate. We were in L.A. and I did a show at the Grammy Museum, and we did a Q&A before the show. The personality that Blake [Shelton]<\/a>\u00a0had is what they\u2019re looking for.”<\/p>\n

He then adds, “I also did a spot on Jimmy Fallon, where I got to visit with him and teach him a duck call. Those two things got me the job.”<\/p>\n

Has Filming for The Voice Season 30 Started Yet?<\/p>\n

According to Green, it has not.<\/p>\n

“We start filming in the next couple months,” he says. “I don\u2019t know what to expect, except I know how the chair works. I haven\u2019t met any of the other coaches yet.”<\/p>\n

Green adds that he did get a warm welcome to the crew, though.<\/p>\n

“Kelly [Clarkson]<\/a>\u00a0called me when I got the job. She\u2019s a country fan, and I know she\u2019s covered some of my songs.”<\/p>\n

Although the “Worst Way” singer is confident about playing music, he seems a little shy about his new gig.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m not sure about any of it, it\u2019s such a different thing. But I\u2019ve met the team, and I know what they need from me. It\u2019s helpful to watch Blake and Luke Bryan<\/a>, because now I know how to go about it, and I\u2019m excited about the coaching part of it.”<\/p>\n
