The Minnesota Twins<\/a> will be without one of their starting pitchers for at least the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Right-hander Bailey Ober<\/a> was diagnosed with a mild flexor strain in his throwing arm, according to The Athletic’s Dan Hayes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Same as Kendry Rojas<\/a> before him, the Twins learned Bailey Ober\u2019s ulnar collateral ligament is intact after he underwent an MRI on Monday,” Hayes wrote. “While Ober\u2019s recovery plan calls for a shutdown from throwing for 10-14 days as he deals with a mild flexor muscle strain, the Twins are once again breathing a sigh of relief as another one of their pitchers appears to have avoided the surgical knife.”<\/p>\n

Ober was recently placed on the injured list with\u00a0inflammation in his right elbow. Minnesota’s starting rotation is already without All-Star Pablo Lopez<\/a>, who underwent internal brace surgery after his first spring training bullpen.<\/p>\n

Standing 6-foot-9, Ober has been somewhat inconsistent for the Twins in 2026, despite throwing a complete-game shutout against the Miami Marlins<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

In 12 starts this season, Ober is 6-3 with a 4.59 ERA but just 46 strikeouts in 66.2 innings of work. He allowed seven earned runs in 4.2 innings in his last start.<\/p>\n

The Twins’ rotation will heavily rely on Joe Ryan<\/a> and Taj Bradley<\/a> while he’s on the shelf.<\/p>\n
