Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> relief pitcher Tanner Scott<\/a> and his wife are absolutely shocked after some people sent death threats to their son after a recent loss.<\/p>\n

Scott entered Saturday<\/a>‘s game against the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> when his team was up 3-1 thanks to some impressive pitching by their starter, Roki Sasaki<\/a>. Scott got two outs in the eighth before giving up a single to Justin Crawford. Next up to bat was Bryce Harper<\/a> who made contact with the ball and drove in a run, narrowing the Dodgers’ lead to 3-2. With Harper on base, Edmundo Sosa<\/a> stepped up to the plate and hit a 2-run shot off Scott, giving the Phillies a 4-3 lead.<\/p>\n

After the game, Scott’s wife, Maddie, took to her Instagram Stories to shared a very unexpected message.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen did it stop being a game?\u201d she wrote. “I don\u2019t speak out often. Ever actually. I promise you, you don\u2019t know what it\u2019s like unless you\u2019re living it.”<\/p>\n

The Scotts share one son, Bo Alexander Scott, who was born in 2023. The couple is expecting another baby later this year.<\/p>\n

Maddie shared a screenshot of some of the messages they’d received after her husband recorded the loss, according to the New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHope this mutt d i e s soon,” one of the user\u2019s comments read on a photo of their son. <\/p>\n

“I hope you get home to your family lying in puddles of their own blood,” another comment read.<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote, “Hope it\u2019s a still b i r t h,” under another Instagram picture.<\/p>\n

The comments appear to have been deleted. It’s unclear if the accounts were reported.<\/p>\n
