{"id":680974,"date":"2026-06-03T01:54:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T01:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/680974\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T01:54:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T01:54:10","slug":"live-updates-midterm-primary-elections-underway-in-california-iowa-and-other-states-as-polls-close-in-new-jersey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/680974\/","title":{"rendered":"Live updates: Midterm primary elections underway in California, Iowa and other states as polls close in New Jersey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"f1\">Dr. Mehmet Oz said he thinks Trump likes the validation he gets from medical checkups, offering an explanation for why he phas had three physical exams in 13 months.<\/p>\n<p q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"f4\">Oz, the head of the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services, said at a White House briefing today that the results of Trump\u2019s recent routine physical were \u201cspectacular.\u201d<\/p>\n<p q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"f7\">Trump\u2019s visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center a week ago was his third in-person medical checkup since he returned to office in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\" q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"g2\">There has been skepticism over Trump&#8217;s physical health and cognition, owing to his appearing to fall asleep during daytime meetings, chronic bruising on his hands and swelling in his legs, which has been attributed to chronic venous insufficiency. Oz was asked why, if the results of his cholesterol, blood pressure and other health measures are \u201cexcellent,\u201d as the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trump-excellent-health-presidents-physican-says-rcna346894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> White House physician said in a memo<\/a> Friday, is Trump, 80, getting physical checkups every six months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\" q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"g5\">\u201cI think he likes the results,\u201d Oz said. \u201cHe does really well. He aces the test every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\" q:key=\"Il_0\" q:id=\"g8\">Trump regularly boasts that he has aced his cognitive exams.
