(7News) \u2014 A force main break in Severna Park, Maryland, resulted in a 16,200-gallon sewer spill, the<a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/topic\/Anne%20Arundel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Anne Arundel County<\/a> Department of Public Works said.<\/p>\n<p>The break happened in the 800 block of Ritchie Highway on Sunday. Officials said the spill happened near the Cypress Creek, and that &#8220;majority&#8221; of the overflow was contained on land. <\/p>\n<p>Officials were first notified of the overflow around 4:30 p.m., and it was contained around 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Crews limed and vacuumed over the <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/topic\/Contamination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">contaminated<\/a> areas.
