Some Social Security beneficiaries are to get their latest monthly money this week, as the U.S.\u2019s Social Security Administration (SSA) begins its June payment schedule. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday, June 3, benefits are to be issued to two groups of Social Security recipients.<\/p>\n

Who gets Social Security on Wednesday, June 3?Certain long-term Social Security recipients<\/p>\n

June\u2019s Social Security payments are to be sent out to recipients who began claiming their benefits before May 1997.<\/p>\n

This Wednesday is also June\u2019s Social Security distribution date for beneficiaries who combine the program with Supplemental Security Income<\/a> (SSI).<\/p>\n

A scheme for certain low-income, low-resource individuals, SSI differs from Social Security as eligibility does not depend on a recipient\u2019s employment history. <\/p>\n

In June, SSI benefits – which currently average $738.22 per month – are to be issued on Monday 1<\/a>. <\/p>\n

When are other Social Security recipients paid for June?<\/p>\n

Of the U.S.\u2019s 71 million Social Security beneficiaries, most will be paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday<\/a> in June, depending on their date of birth:<\/p>\n

Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, June 10Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, June 17Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, June 24<\/p>\n

NB: If you get Social Security benefits based on someone else\u2019s employment history, the SSA refers to the other person\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

How does the Social Security Administration pay out benefits?<\/p>\n

Social Security recipients can update their bank details using the online \u201cmy Social Security<\/a>\u201d tool.<\/p>\n

Benefits can be paid onto the Direct Express Card, a debit card<\/a> for federal disbursements. Sign up at 1-800-333-1795 or 1-800-772-1213, or at a Social Security office.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
