Brown trade be the last move they make this offseason, and on Tuesday, announced that they\u2019ve signed former 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Mitchell is obviously familiar with the Kyle Shanahan system, which should help as Eagles OC Sean Mannion tries to install a similar scheme in Philly. The RB was drafted by San Francisco in the sixth round back in 2021, and he earned playing time his first three seasons. He only suited up for 11 games his rookie year, but he recorded 963 rushing yards and five touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Health has been a big concern for Mitchell over the years, and through his first three seasons, he only played in 27 games \u2014 due to various injuries, including a fractured finger, sprained rib, concussion, and shoulder injury \u2014, and spent the entire 2024 season on IR due to a hamstring injury he sustained during training camp. The RB went on to sign with the Chiefs in 2025, but only played one game, and was waived late in the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">The Eagles have Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, and Tank Bigsby, so they aren\u2019t really pressed for depth at the running back position.
