US President \u2060Donald Trump said \u2060in a podcast interview aired on Wednesday that Vice-President J.D. Vance and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, teaming up for a 2028 presidential run, would be \u200cunbeatable.<\/p>\n

Both men are seen as contenders for the 2028 Republican nomination, and Rubio\u2019s recent turn at the White House podium drew praise from Republicans and even some Democrats who noted his smooth performance, which included quips and \u2060a 1990s hip-hop reference to describe Iran\u2019s negotiating position.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would think \u200cthat J.D. and Marco as a team would be very hard to beat,\u201d Trump told Miranda \u200cDevine in a podcast aired on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s interesting, human thing, \u2060the \u2060human equation. So I watch them together, they get along great,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Trump \u200chas continued to fuel the succession talk even as both Vance and Rubio downplay \u200ctheir \u200c2028 ambitions.<\/p>\n
