\n\t\u201cJust thinking I\u2019d like to get out of here alive.\u201d So says Anya Taylor-Joy<\/a>\u2018s titular character Lucky<\/a> in the official trailer for Apple TV<\/a>\u2018s upcoming limited series, from creator\/executive producer Jonathan Tropper<\/a> and executive producer Reese Witherspoon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on Marissa Stapley\u2019s bestselling book, in the series, when a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways, con artist Lucky (Taylor-Joy) is forced to go on the run. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life \u2014 and a way out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe A-list ensemble cast includes Annette Bening<\/a>, Timothy Olyphant<\/a>, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins, Jr. and William Fichtner.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer reveals\u00a0Lucky Armstrong (Taylor-Joy) has been brought up in a criminal life by her father, played by Olyphant. We then see an explosive scene followed by Lucky being chased by law enforcement led by her mother-in-law (Bening).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHello dear, it\u2019s been awhile,\u201d says Bening\u2019s crime boss character Priscilla, to Lucky. \u201cWhere\u2019s my son?\u201d, she asks Lucky. \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d says Lucky. Priscilla presses on, asking \u201cWhere\u2019s my money?\u201d, to which Priscilla replies, \u201cI don\u2019t have it.\u201d Priscilla then warns, \u201cThat\u2019s the wrong answer.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHailing from Apple Studios,\u00a0Lucky\u00a0is co-showrun, written and executive produced by Tropper (Apple TV+\u2019s\u00a0See\u00a0and upcoming\u00a0Your Friends & Neighbors) through his Tropper Ink banner under his overall deal with Apple TV+, alongside co-showrunner Cassie Pappas (Apple TV+\u2019s\u00a0Silo). The series is executive produced by Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. Taylor-Joy executive produces through her production banner Ladykiller. Jonathan Van Tulleken will direct several episodes, including the pilot, and serve as executive producer.<\/p>\n

\n\tLucky premieres globally <\/a>on Apple TV with the first two episodes on Wednesday, July 15, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through August 19.<\/p>\n
