There has been a bit of awkwardness between the Saints and Alvin Kamara this offseason, with General Manager Mickey Loomis saying last month that the club is trying to figure out how the running back fits on the roster<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Kamara has been consistent that he\u2019d like to stick with New Orleans. To that end, he has switched up his usual offseason routine and reported for Wednesday\u2019s OTA practice, head coach Kellen Moore said in his press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlvin got here today. He\u2019s here. So, we\u2019ll kind of work through an acclamation process there, getting to work with him,\u201d Moore said. \u201cIt\u2019s good to see him<\/a>. Just saw him right at the team meeting as we were starting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore noted that he wasn\u2019t aware of any developments with Kamara\u2019s contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think necessarily anything\u2019s been done there,\u201d Moore said. \u201cBut, it\u2019s good to see him. Obviously, a lot of times this time of year he\u2019s not always here \u2014 similar to last year. So, it\u2019s good to see him and excited to spend a little bit of time talking with him, seeing where he\u2019s all at.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Moore also said that he does think Kamara \u201ccan fit in really well from an offensive standpoint\u201d as they go forward, despite the team also signing Travis Etienne in free agency.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you navigate some of the business stuff, signing Travis, kind of navigating how all these pieces work together, I think that\u2019s always a little bit of a challenge as you\u2019re building your roster,\u201d Moore said. \u201cAnd so, obviously, it was really good to see [Kamara]. Fired up for that and excited to kind of build from here.\u201d<\/p>\n
