{"id":682772,"date":"2026-06-03T23:41:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T23:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/682772\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T23:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T23:41:08","slug":"nypr-ups-three-to-head-wnyc-studios-newsroom-and-wqxr-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/682772\/","title":{"rendered":"NYPR Ups Three To Head WNYC Studios, Newsroom And WQXR. | Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York Public Radio has promoted Emily Botein, Stephanie Clary and Eileen Delahunty to editorial and creative leadership roles across WNYC-AM\/FM (820\/93.9) and Gothamist, WNYC Studios and classical WQXR (105.9), covering news, podcasts and cultural programming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith reporters across WNYC and Gothamist covering local and national news, live radio and podcasts, and with recent WNYC, WNYC Studios and WQXR experiments with in-person audiences and live-streaming for programs such as \u2018Broadway on the Radio,\u2019 \u2018Theater of War on the Radio\u2019 and \u2018Carnegie Hall Live,\u2019 the appointments reflect NYPR&#8217;s continued focus on expanding multi-platform audience experiences rooted in editorial excellence and cultural programming,\u201d New York Public Radio\u2019s news release says.<\/p>\n<p>Botein has been named Head of WNYC Studios, overseeing national shows, programming and podcasts, along with live events at NYPR\u2019s The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. For two decades at WNYC, Botein has launched and overseen award-winning programs such as \u201cBlindspot,\u201d \u201cMore Perfect,\u201d \u201cDead End: A New Jersey Political Murder Mystery,\u201d \u201cThe New Yorker Radio Hour\u201d and \u201cDeath, Sex &amp; Money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clary has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the WNYC and Gothamist newsroom and live radio teams. While serving as Deputy Editor, Clary\u2019s teams at WNYC and Gothamist have earned duPont-Columbia, Edward R. Murrow, Online News Association, New York Press Club and Webby awards and were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize in 2025 for audio reporting. Clary previously held roles at CNN, VICE Media, MIC and The Seattle Times, where she was part of a Pulitzer Prize-winning team.<\/p>\n<p>Delahunty has been named Head of WQXR, overseeing New York City\u2019s only full-time classical station. During her 35 years at WQXR, Delahunty\u2019s work has included the syndicated \u201cCarnegie Hall Live\u201d series and WQXR podcasts, including overseeing the production of \u201cClassical Music Happy Hour with Emanuel Ax.\u201d She also serves as executive producer for live broadcasts from partner venues including Lincoln Center, Trinity Church, the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park and NJPAC, and has produced events from The Jerome L.
