\n\tPrince<\/a>\u2019s legendary \u201cVault\u201d is so filled with unreleased recordings that it can be difficult to know where to begin \u2014\u00a0a deluxe boxed set focused just on his classic 1987 \u201cSign O\u2019 the Times\u201d album<\/a> added up to eight CDs, and it didn\u2019t even contain half of that album\u2019s outtakes.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late artist\u2019s estate has taken a different approach with a new 10-song collection called \u201cTimeless,\u201d which features 10 previously unreleased tracks from across his entire career \u2014 it spans from 1977 through the year of his death, 2016 \u2014\u00a0and will be released via the estate\u2019s partnership with Sony\u2019s Legacy Recordings, arriving August 28, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe announcement arrives alongside the release of new single \u201cStone,\u201d a previously unreleased recording from spring 1995 written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe album marks a return to the reissue series the estate had embarked upon in the late 2010s<\/a>, which had slowed in recent years. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe announcement is pegged to Prince Celebration 2026, taking place June 3\u20137, 2026 across Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis. Serving as the official launch platform for the project, this year\u2019s Celebration will feature exclusive listening sessions, archival presentations, and conversations with Prince collaborators. Highlights include a special event at The Armory in Minneapolis on Friday, June 5, featuring appearances from NPG, The Revolution\u2019s Bobby Z and Lisa Coleman, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tMinneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has officially proclaimed June 1\u20137, 2026, \u201cPrince Celebration Week\u201d in the city. The Minneapolis skyline will be illuminated in purple on June 6, the evening before his birthday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTimeless\u201d will be released in multiple physical configurations, including a D2C-exclusive limited-edition Purple Marble Vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, The Prince Estate previewed Timeless with the release of \u201cWith This Tear\u201d on April 2. Originally recorded at Paisley Park in November 1991, the song is a complete Prince solo performance.<\/p>\n
