While the day started with the awful news that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prideofdetroit.com\/detroit-lions-news\/165381\/detroit-lions-lose-rookie-wr-to-a-torn-acl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fifth-round rookie receiver Kendrick Law suffered a torn ACL earlier in the week,<\/a> Detroit did get some positive injury news on Thursday. After missing practice last Friday, both cornerback Terrion Arnold and tight end Sam LaPorta participated during the team\u2019s sixth OTA session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Let\u2019s do a full breakdown of attendance for Week 2 of OTAs:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Bartch has now missed two public practices in a row with an undisclosed injury. He was unable to finish his 2025 season with the 49ers due to a foot sprain. It\u2019s not known if that\u2019s what he is currently dealing with at the time of this publishing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Kitselman, an undrafted rookie, was not seen on the practice field after practicing last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cIt\u2019s not worth it right now. We\u2019re just slowly building, continuing to strengthen there,\u201d Campbell said. \u201cHe\u2019s getting treatment; he\u2019s done some of these different things in different places to try and help. So I feel good about that. I feel good about that we\u2019ve done everything we can and so has he. So we won\u2019t know. Honestly, we probably won\u2019t know until we get into the thick of training camp.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">LaPorta and Arnold both participated in about 30 minutes of walkthroughs to begin practice. When the team then transitioned to individual and positional drills, both players headed for the locker room.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">That\u2019s a huge step for LaPorta, who finished last season on injured reserve with a back injury that required surgery. While it\u2019s not a complete surprise that he\u2019s back\u2014coach Dan Campbell noted he had participated in walkthroughs and jog-throughs earlier this offseason\u2014it\u2019s a great sign that he could be ready to go to start the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">A little less is known about Arnold\u2019s condition. He did end last season sidelined with a shoulder injury.
