The Chiefs are in need of cornerback help as the NFL season approaches, and they are now looking into a reunion with a former key cog in two Super Bowl victories who later encountered some legal difficulties.<\/p>\n

ESPN reports that veteran cornerback L\u2019Jarius Sneed will visit the Chiefs on Thursday.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Sneed was traded to the Tennessee Titans<\/a> for a seventh-round pick, and this off-season he was released by the team. He spent four years with Kansas City before being traded.\u00a0 During his time with the Titans, he encountered legal difficulties.\u00a0 In 2024, Sneed was charged with aggravated assault following a shooting at a Texas automobile dealership.<\/p>\n

It was subsequently dropped to a misdemeanor, and then entirely dropped in May of this year.\u00a0 \u00a0After the 2023 season, Sneed was not interested in leaving the Chiefs<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, man, I didn\u2019t talk to them. I was upset, man,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cI was upset, you know, Kansas City, that\u2019s like my first love. They showed me the way, showed me how to be a champion, gave me two rings. You know I was bitter. I was angry because I wanted to stay in that environment around everybody who I was used to. But it\u2019s God\u2019s plan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sneed coming back to KC would be the ultimate redemption arc. the chiefs said \u201cwe made a mistake\u201d and he\u2019s probably thinking about it hard right now. that\u2019s the vibe.<\/p>\n

A return makes perfect sense for KC. Sneed already knows Spags\u2019 system inside out, and the Chiefs\u2019 secondary would instantly get a massive boost. If the money works, it\u2019s a no brainer for a championship defense.<\/p>\n

Sneed left KC, got paid by Tennessee, got cut, now back in Arrowhead for a visit. The NFL\u2019s version of breaking up and getting back together.<\/p>\n

Kansas City trading him away just to bring him back later is the NFL version of breaking up and texting \u201cwyd\u201d six months later<\/p>\n
