(WKYT) &#8211; Kentucky Sports Radio\u2019s KSBar and Grille will shut down its full-time operations this weekend after nearly eight years of being a staple meeting ground for Kentucky sports fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Thursday was KSR\u2019s last time hosting their radio show in the building.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link | text-reset d-block h-100 w-100\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wkyt.com\/page\/wkyt-apps-for-ios-and-android-devices\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_self\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"WKYT Streaming Apps\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1780637529_395_MEPHTWNVMREWLEQQWWFJM27ZMA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fans came out to fill the bar\u2019s seats for their morning show. Owner and KSR host Matt Jones says the decision to close full-time operations was driven by financial pressures in the current market. But he said he was pleased to see the place full Thursday in support of the KSR crew.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s awesome. I didn\u2019t expect it. It\u2019s a great surprise and it just shows that we have the best fan base. To come out and to be here is awesome,\u201d Jones said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Despite the closure, Jones says KSBar will still be open for future UK game days.
