TURNPIKE OFFICIALS SAY THIS IS BECAUSE OF A CAR FIRE INSIDE THE ALLEGHENY TUNNEL IN SOMERSET COUNTY, ON THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE TUNNEL. PENNDOT CAMERAS CAPTURING DOZENS OF PEOPLE WALKING OUTSIDE OF THE TUNNEL\u2019S ENTRANCE, WHILE A LARGE FIRE RESPONSE CAN BE SEEN ON THE EASTERN END OF THE OVER MILE LONG TUNNEL. NOW, EMERGENCY DISPATCHERS TELL US ONE PERSON WAS FLOWN TO THE HOSPITAL FROM THE SCENE. NEARLY 90 MILES OF THE TURNPIKE REMAINED CLOSED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
