\t\t\t\t\t\tJAFFREY, N.H. \u2014 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

A New Hampshire man was injured Friday morning when the small plane he was piloting crashed at Jaffrey Airport.<\/p>\n

Jaffrey police said the plane crashed at about 11:50 a.m. in a field next to the runway. The pilot was trapped in the wreckage until he could be extricated by first responders.<\/p>\n

The pilot, who was the only person on board, was identified as Ronald Jones, 75, of Brookline, New Hampshire. He suffered a substantial injury to his face and complained of back pain but was awake and responsive, police said.<\/p>\n

Jones was flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n

Police said it appeared that the Sonex single-engine aircraft was taking off when the propeller stopped working. <\/p>\n

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.<\/p>\n

Last month, two men suffered serious injuries<\/a> when a plane veered off the runway at Jaffrey Airport and flipped onto its roof.<\/p>\n
