{"id":686653,"date":"2026-06-05T20:35:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T20:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/686653\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T20:35:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T20:35:09","slug":"spacex-lands-google-ai-compute-deal-after-anthropic-pact-ahead-of-ipo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/686653\/","title":{"rendered":"SpaceX lands Google AI compute deal after Anthropic pact ahead of IPO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">June 5 (Reuters) &#8211; SpaceX said on Friday it has entered into a multi-year cloud services agreement with Alphabet&#8217;s Google, locking in \u200ccomputing capacity as it prepares for its highly anticipated U.S. \u200cstock market debut next week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">As part of the deal, Google will pay SpaceX $920 million \u200bmonthly from October this year to June 2029, with capacity ramping up through September at a reduced fee, Elon Musk&#8217;s space venture said in a regulatory filing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The compute capacity provided includes about 110,000 Nvidia GPUs, CPUs, memory \u200cand other related components.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The pact \u2060brings another high-profile customer to SpaceX, after Anthropic, strengthening its AI narrative as it targets a $75 billion raise \u2060in its upcoming initial public offering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Anthropic said in May it had reached a deal to use the full computing power of SpaceX&#8217;s Colossus 1 facility \u200bin Memphis, \u200bTennessee, which houses more than 220,000 \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NVDA\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Nvidia;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Nvidia&quot;}\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nvidia<\/a> processors and will give \u200cthe Claude chatbot maker 300 megawatts of new capacity within a month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">On an annual basis, SpaceX&#8217;s compute access deals with Anthropic and Google are worth roughly $26 billion combined.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">SpaceX&#8217;s disclosed compute-capacity agreements with Anthropic and Google are worth more than $70 billion in aggregate, assuming neither contract is terminated before \u200cits scheduled end date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">If SpaceX does not \u200bprovide access to the agreed number of \u200bGPUs by September 30, then, \u200bafter a one-month grace period, &#8220;Google may immediately terminate the \u200cagreement or accept the number of \u200bGPUs provided, with \u200ba corresponding pro-rata reduction in the monthly fees,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">After December 31, either party may terminate the agreement by providing 90 \u200bdays&#8217; notice.
