WASHINGTON (7News) \u2014 The Washington Mystics<\/a> signed rookie guard Alicia Fl\u00f3rez <\/a>to a standard full contract on Friday.<\/p>\n

The team gave her the permanent spot after her great start in the WNBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fl\u00f3rez, who originally joined the Mystics on a developmental contract on May 7, has quickly carved out a role in Washington<\/a>‘s backcourt.<\/p>\n

Through her first three WNBA appearances, the rookie has averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 22.3 minutes per game.<\/p>\n

The Spanish<\/a> guard made an immediate impact in her WNBA debut on May 27 against Seattle, finishing with nine points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. <\/p>\n

Two days later, she showcased her playmaking ability against the Los Angeles Sparks, recording seven assists without committing a turnover while adding five points.<\/p>\n

Before arriving in Washington, Fl\u00f3rez starred for Ensino Lugo in Spain’s Liga Femenina Endesa. <\/p>\n

In 32 games, she averaged 11.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per contest, establishing herself as one of the league’s most versatile guards.<\/p>\n

The Mystics’ decision to convert Fl\u00f3rez’s contract reflects the confidence the organization has in her ability to contribute as Washington continues its push through the 2026 WNBA season.<\/p>\n
