Israel has intensified intelligence-gathering efforts
\ntargeting US officials to obtain information about President Donald Trump’s
\nstrategy in negotiations with Iran, the New York Times (NYT) reported on
\nSaturday.<\/p>\n
Citing US officials and intelligence assessments, the NYT
\ndescribed Israel’s intelligence activities as unusually aggressive, claiming
\nthey exceeded those of any other US ally and, in some cases, even countries
\nconsidered US adversaries. The report indicated that Israeli intelligence
\nservices stepped up efforts to monitor senior US officials, including President
\nTrump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff.<\/p>\n
