Caitlin Clark is the biggest star in the WNBA right now, but one two-time NBA champion is claiming that the Indiana Fever no longer want her on the team, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary.<\/p>\n
In a post on X this week, Mychal Thomson, a two-time NBA champion and the father of longtime NBA superstar Klay Thompson, claimed that the Indiana Fever \u201cdon\u2019t want Caitlin [Clark] no more,\u201d claiming that his information came from a \u201creliable source.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark on the Move?<\/p>\n
This week, Clark faced some heavy criticism following her on-court struggles as well as her heated exchange with head coach Stephanie White on the sideline.<\/p>\n
Amid all the discourse about Clark, Thompson claimed that he was hearing from a \u201creliable source\u201d that the Fever did not want Clark anymore, and he implored the Los Angeles Sparks<\/a> to \u201cgo get her.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m hearing from a reliable source the Fever dont want Caitlin no more\u2026SPARKS\u2026Go get her\u2026NOW!!!\u201d Thompson wrote in a post on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a follow-up post, Thompson said he was hearing that the Fever were \u201csick\u201d of Clark.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah\u2026I hear the FEVER\u2026are \u2018SICK\u2019\u2026of Clark\u2026Yall hearin that too?\u201d Thompson wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Thompson is not the only one suggesting that such a move could happen. Media personality Jason Whitlock<\/p>\n \u201cThe Indiana Fever are planning to ship Caitlin Clark to the Los Angeles Sparks. I expect UCLA coach Cori Close to be the head coach of the Sparks,\u201d Whitlock wrote in a post on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not clear where Whitlock and Thompson are getting their information, but it\u2019s worth noting that no credible members of the media have reported this. In fact, longtime reporter Jeff Goodman openly mocked<\/a> the report from Whitlock.<\/p>\n No Sign of Bad Blood<\/p>\n Despite these reports and the sideline incident between Clark and White, there\u2019s no actual indication that there is any bad blood between Clark and anyone within the organization.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n In fact, Clark spoke rather highly of White this week, indicating that she would \u201cride\u201d for White for the rest of her life.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I got hurt at the Connecticut<\/a> game last year, I bawled in Steph\u2019s arms. That\u2019s somebody I will ride for, for the rest of my life,\u201d Clark said via The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cPeople that just sit on their phones all day, they don\u2019t see those moments. They don\u2019t see the moments when we come into work. They don\u2019t see the moments that absolutely suck, and people have your back.
