According to the project team, energy\u2011efficient LED fixtures have been carefully positioned to remain hidden from view while casting a soft glow across the structure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-module-scss-module__0ovlkG__blockParagraph\">A spokesperson for the project said the lighting will \u201csubtly and sensitively illuminate architect Daniel Burnham\u2019s architectural triumph from dusk to late night,\u201d enhancing the building\u2019s presence along Fifth Avenue and in nearby Madison Square Park. The project is focused on preserving the building\u2019s original Beaux\u2011Arts fa\u00e7ade, which was designed to evoke a classical Greek column through its use of limestone, brick, and terra\u2011cotta detailing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-module-scss-module__0ovlkG__blockParagraph\">As part of that work, developers have conducted a full fa\u00e7ade survey, replaced more than 1,000 windows, restored thousands of terra\u2011cotta elements, and carried out repairs to the structure\u2019s distinctive six\u2011foot\u2011tall cornice.
