Zendaya recently stopped by Rakestraw Books in Danville, Calif., where she posed for a photo while browsing and chatting with staff<\/p>\n

The actress held copies of Dune: Messiah and The Odyssey, two novels tied to upcoming film projects involving herself and partner Tom Holland<\/p>\n

Zendaya and Holland first met on the set of 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and got engaged after Holland proposed during the 2024 holiday season<\/p>\n

Zendaya<\/a> recently made an unexpected stop at a Northern California bookstore \u2014 and had some fun with a pair of familiar titles while she was there.<\/p>\n

The Challengers actress, 29, visited Rakestraw Books in Danville, Calif., according to an Instagram post<\/a> shared by the independent bookstore on Friday, June 6.<\/p>\n

“We had a very special visitor at Rakestraw Books recently,” the store wrote alongside a photo of Zendaya posing inside the shop.<\/p>\n

“Zendaya stopped by to shop and chat books with us! We were thrilled to help her find some good reads and loved getting some recommendations from her!” they added.<\/p>\n

In the snapshot, Zendaya can be seen holding copies of Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah and Homer’s The Odyssey.<\/p>\n

The titles are a nod to two upcoming film projects tied to Zendaya and her partner, Tom Holland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zendaya is set to reprise her role as Chani in the next installment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise, Dune: Part Three<\/a>, due out in December.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Holland, 30, is slated to star in director Christopher Nolan<\/a>‘s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey. Zendaya is also attached to the highly anticipated film and is set to play the goddess Athena.<\/p>\n

The couple first met while filming 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and confirmed their relationship<\/a> in 2021 after years of friendship and speculation from fans.<\/p>\n

Since then, the pair have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Zendaya sparked engagement rumors when she appeared wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.<\/p>\n
