\u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d star Rena Sofer is in a \u201cNew York State of Mind,\u201d and leaving Hollywood.<\/p>\n

Sofer shared a video on her Instagram page with her husband, Sanford Bookstaver, revealing the news as they say goodbye to Los Angeles for New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been in LA for almost 35 years and now it\u2019s time for me and @sbookstaver to go,\u201d Sofer wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cYes I\u2019m getting emotional. I met and had my children in LA met the man of my dreams and created an incredible life there. I had amazing success in the Biz and made all my lifelong friends who I will miss desperately.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you LA for being you. And now on to quieter and calmer times.,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Sofer has been playing Lois Cerullo on \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d off and on since 1993 and also had a lengthy run as Quinn on \u201cThe Bold and the Beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also appeared on multiple shows over the years, including \u201cFriends,\u201d \u201cSeinfeld,\u201d \u201cMelrose Place,\u201d \u201c24,\u201d and \u201cOnce Upon a Time,\u201d among many, many others.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been no official statement about whether or not Sofer\u2019s move will impact her role on \u201cGeneral Hospital,\u201d but a source told E! News<\/a> \u201cThere has not been a conversation about her leaving the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sofer isn\u2019t the only \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d star relocating this year.<\/p>\n

Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie Jones on the soap opera, announced last month that she is moving to Tennessee and taking an extended break from the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always been a dream of mine to move to a place like this, it\u2019s hard to believe it\u2019s really happening,\u201d she wrote in the caption of her IG post sharing the news.<\/p>\n

Storms also revealed she isn\u2019t off the show for good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you approach a job like this, they can always be like, \u2018Forget it.
