Disney World in Orlando has officially replaced the Aerosmith<\/a> rollercoaster with a new ride centred around The Muppets<\/a> \u2013 and it features a cover of an iconic Blur<\/a> song.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Disney World announced that it would be rebranding the Aerosmith Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roller Coaster,<\/a> which was there for over two decades and featured cameos from the band as well as their hits \u2018Dude (Looks Like A Lady)\u2019, \u2018Walk This Way\u2019 and \u2018Back In The Saddle\u2019.<\/p>\n

It was then confirmed that a new Muppets attraction would be taking its place, and the Aerosmith ride \u2013 which was centred around an intense limousine ride to make it to a concert in time \u2013 officially closed last December<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, the new Muppets-themed era has officially opened, and it features Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem covering the hit 1997 Blur track, \u2018Song 2\u2019.<\/p>\n

The premise of the new ride is that the band, which features Animal on the drums, are on their way to a live show, but need to track down some of the members of The Electric Mayhem who have gone missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the help from our friends at Muppet Labs and a very fast limousine, we\u2019ll take a twisting, turning and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time,\u201d read a 2025 description. \u201cThroughout the journey, you\u2019ll hear the Electric Mayhem playing some of the most iconic, rockin\u2019 hits in your ears to keep the music and adrenaline pumping.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other songs featured on the soundtrack include Def Leppard<\/a>\u2018s \u2018Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)\u2019 featuring Def Leppard themselves, Steppenwolf\u2019s \u2018Born To Be Wild\u2019 featuring Camilla the Chicken, Katrina And The Waves\u2019 \u2018Walking On Sunshine\u2019 featuring Kelly Clarkson<\/a>, and Ohio Players\u2019 \u2018Love Rollercoaster\u2019 featuring Jennifer Hudson<\/a> and Questlove<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As per Stereogum<\/a>, the Blur cover is the only track featured on the ride that does not include a special guest, and its inclusion on the ride coincidentally comes exactly 29 years since \u2018Song 2\u2019 debuted on the US Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.<\/p>\n

As well as the Muppets, other famous faces who feature on the ride include Blink-182<\/a> drummer Travis Barker<\/a>, Weird Al Yankovic<\/a>, actors Darren Criss, Neil Patrick Harris, John Stamos, Danny Trejo, Yvette Nicole Brown, and comedian Wayne Brady.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

There are also some returning faces from the Aerosmith ride too, with Ken Marino and Illeana Douglas both making appearances. In the Rock\u2019N\u2019Roller Coaster ride, Douglas played Aerosmith\u2019s frantic manager, and Marino appeared as an audio engineer.<\/p>\n

The reimagined ride comes following The Muppets releasing a rock-inspired series on Disney+ in 2023 called The Muppets Mayhem<\/a>, which included appearances from huge names like M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce<\/a>\u2019s Tommy Lee<\/a> and Danny Trejo.<\/p>\n

Since that show launched, The Muppets\u2019 Miss Piggy attended Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u2018Short N\u2019 Sweet\u2019 tour<\/a> and was \u201carrested\u201d by the singer, and Jennifer Lawrence confirmed that she was working on a Missy Piggy movie with Emma Stone.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier this year, The Muppets joined Coldplay\u2019s Chris Martin in announcing the co-headliners for the first ever World Cup Final Halftime Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The final will take place on Sunday July 19 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
