Turn Around, Don’t Drown: Just a few inches of rapidly moving water is enough to take your car off the road. Never try to drive through standing water.Do Not Bypass Barriers: Road closure signs and barricades are put up for your safety. Do not drive around them.Expect Hidden Hazards: Standing water can cloak washed-out pavelemt, fallen trees, dagerous debris and large potholes in its depths. Proceed with caution.Turn on Your Headlights: It can be hard to see one another with the lights down low. Turn on your headlights to help other drivers see you in heavy rain and low-visibility conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Etowah County is currently experiencing what the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) describes as significant flooding.
