THIS IS WEST OF WINTERS AND NOT FAR FROM LAKE BERRYESSA AND PORTER CREEK. AND YOU CAN SEE LIVECOPTER3 SHOWING US JUST HOW BIG OF AN AREA HAS ALREADY BURNED. THIS IS NEAR HIGHWAY 128, AND AGAIN NOT FAR FROM LAKE BERRYESSA. ON THE RIGHT, YOU CAN SEE THE FLAMES THAT ARE JUST BURNING THROUGH AND CHEWING THROUGH ALL THAT DRY GRASS AND BRUSH, MOVING RIGHT AROUND THOSE TREES THERE. THE SPARK JUST ABOUT AN HOUR AGO. BUT CAL FIRE SAYS THIS IS ALREADY ABOUT 40 ACRES IN SIZE, AND IT\u2019S BURNING UPHILL THROUGH ALL THAT DRY GRASS. YOU CAN SEE THEY\u2019VE ALREADY DROPPED ONE LINE OF RETARDANT. YOU CAN SEE IT THERE ON THE RIGHT. THEY\u2019RE TRYING TO SLOW THE SPREAD OF THESE FLAMES AS IT\u2019S MAKING ITS WAY UPHILL. YOU CAN SEE THERE IS A NATURAL FIRE BREAK WITH THE ROAD THERE WITH HIGHWAY 128, WHICH IS GREAT NEWS, BUT NO WORD ON HOW THIS FIRE STARTED. THANKFULLY, THERE\u2019S NOT A STRONG WIND IN THE AREA, JUST A VERY LIGHT BREEZE. YOU CAN SEE THAT SMOKE IS JUST KIND OF LIGHTLY MOVING THROUGH THE AIR, BUT THEY GOT A LOT OF CREWS ON THE SCENE RIGHT NOW, AND HOPEFULLY THIS FIRE WILL JUST STAY WITHIN THE PERIMETER THERE. AND AGAIN, THEY\u2019LL BE ABLE TO HOPEFULLY SLOW THIS DOWN. IF WE ZOOM OUT, MAYBE WE CAN SEE THIS IS A PRETTY RURAL AREA. AND AS I MENTIONED, NOT FAR FROM THE CREEK AND LAKE BERRYESSA AND NO STRUCTURES THAT WE CAN SEE, WHICH IS GREAT NEWS AT THIS TIME. REALLY GOOD NEWS TO SEE THAT. BUT OF COURSE, YOU KNOW, FIRE DANGER, IS ALWAYS A REALITY, ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR, ESPECIALLY AS WE GET FARTHER INTO THE WEEK WHERE WE\u2019RE EXPECTING SOM\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
