Rumors about Taylor Swift<\/a> and Travis Kelce\u2019s wedding are spreading rapidly these days, making it difficult to know what to believe. The nuptials are allegedly scheduled for Friday, July 3, in New York City, and it\u2019s been widely reported<\/a> that the pop star and NFL player will exchange vows at the iconic Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

The world\u2019s most famous arena seats nearly 20,000 guests, allowing the couple to celebrate their special day with a massive group of family and friends. However, one potential absence may overshadow any presence: Blake Lively<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what makes this so devastating,\u201d a source told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter<\/a> in a June 6 report. \u201cIf Taylor were planning a small, intimate ceremony, Blake\u2019s absence would be understandable. But this is Madison Square Garden. Nobody can argue there wasn\u2019t enough room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Insiders further claimed that the grand scale of Swift and Kelce\u2019s wedding has made Lively\u2019s omission a story of its own, adding that not inviting the Gossip Girl alum would send a strong message.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bigger the event, the harder it is to explain who\u2019s missing,\u201d one insider said. \u201cAnd Blake is the name everyone immediately looks for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another explained, \u201cThis isn\u2019t some exclusive 100-person wedding. We\u2019re talking about an arena. More than 20,000 seats.\u201d A separate source added, \u201cThis isn\u2019t a seating issue. It\u2019s a friendship issue. And the size of the wedding only makes the statement louder.\u201d<\/p>\n

This follows a May 2026 report from Shuter<\/a>, which revealed that after Lively settled her years-long legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, she set her sights on mending her friendship with Swift.<\/p>\n

The two had been close friends for years before reportedly falling out after Swift became entangled in Baldoni and Lively\u2019s legal war. Despite Lively\u2019s strained relationship with Swift, a source revealed, \u201cBlake genuinely believes there\u2019s still a path back. Now that the legal mess is over, she thinks the hardest part is behind her and there\u2019s real hope they can move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, Lively \u201calready has a dress picked out<\/a>\u201d for Swift and Kelce\u2019s wedding. \u201cThat\u2019s how convinced she was \u2014 and still is \u2014 that this friendship can be saved,\u201d a source stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe knows not everything snaps back overnight,\u201d another source continued. \u201cBut Blake believes removing the chaos changes everything. She thinks once the noise is gone, there\u2019s room for real healing.\u201d<\/p>\n
