\n\tBefore attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals, between the New York Knicks<\/a> and San Antonio Spurs, Monday night Daily Show host Jon Stewart<\/a> noted that the \u201cexcitement in New York is palpable\u201d and that \u201calmost everyone\u201d is rooting for the city\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe political comic kicked off the episode by addressing the internet furor around New York-hailing Muppet Elmo tweeting that he \u201chopes both teams have fun\u201d with an extended bit that delved into the red-haired character\u2019s supposed gambling addiction.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou fucking kidding me Elmo? Tonight\u2019s Sesame Street is brought to you by the letter B for \u2018you\u2019re a bitch,’\u201d Stewart joked, before adding sarcastically that \u201csurely, Elmo\u2019s fellow New Yorkers responded to his wavering with our trademark grace and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBut the matchup, which the Knicks ended up losing 111-115, \u201cis a hot ticket \u2014 so much so, even the president of the United States has Knicks fever: He\u2019s dyed his face Knicks orange and the back of his hands, Knicks \u2014 let\u2019s say \u2014 purple.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late-night host then addressed the GOP leader cutting short an interview<\/a> with\u00a0Meet the Press<\/a>\u00a0moderator\u00a0Kristen Welker<\/a>, after she challenged him for evidence of claims that the 2020 election was rigged.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cStorming out because you didn\u2019t like the question? Now, you could view this as the hissy fit of an incredibly fragile man-baby, whose paper-thin skin can\u2019t handle venturing out of the sycophantic embrace of his tongue-bathing acolytes, or \u2014 actually, I don\u2019t know how else you could view it,\u201d Stewart quipped.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was a stark turnaround from the NBC<\/a> interview\u2019s beginnings, when both Welker and Trump addressed the rain outside. \u201cBut then, we get to a moment when the heartland rain-swept rom-com becomes a man trapped in a barn with his worst nightmare: A woman \u2026 who won\u2019t stop asking pertinent questions,\u201d Stewart commented, referencing Welker pressing the POTUS on his campaign promises of avoiding needless wars.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNow, we all know Trump\u2019s not actually going to leave the building because it\u2019s raining out,\u201d Stewart noted of Trump storming off. \u201cAnd, as you know, moisture is the natural enemy of the North American combover.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe host did have grievances about Welker, who seemed to pinpoint Trump\u2019s frustration as stemming from the inclement weather and said she has been granted another sit-down.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe wasn\u2019t aggravated by the rain. Donald Trump<\/a> didn\u2019t storm out because of the rain; he stormed out because he was challenged, not because he was distracted.
