As the premier student news organization at BYU, it is our great displeasure to be the first to inform the campus community that the Taco Bell at Cougareat Cafeteria has been shut down and will be replaced by a new restaurant. <\/p>\n
All signage for the Taco Bell has been torn asunder, with the last remaining signs of its existence being the purple tile on the former exterior and a digital kiosk whose display doesn\u2019t yet reflect reality. This tragic loss goes unnoticed and unmourned by every other student news organization on campus, as well as the vast majority of the student body, who have all either returned home for the summer or gone to sell solar.<\/p>\n
One Cougareat employee we spoke with said that he knew what the now empty Taco Bell was going to be replaced by, but was not at liberty to comment on what it was. Another, who works in the Cougareat office, said that she knew that there were a few options for a replacement being discussed, but did not know what these options were. She said that the new restaurant should be in place by Fall Semester. <\/p>\n
Students are disappointed by Taco Bell\u2019s sudden departure.
