At WWDC26 this week, Apple announced its series of new software updates<\/a> \u2013 iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and everything else. Of course, Siri and Apple Intelligence ended up being the star of the show, and Apple finally delivered on its AI promises from 2 years ago.<\/p>\n

Apple didn\u2019t stop there though. The company went above and beyond<\/a>, and introduced far more than just what it unveiled at WWDC24. One of those features is called Call Context, and it\u2019ll make everyones phone calls to customer support substantially easier.<\/p>\n

Call Context shows you everything you\u2019ll need to know<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s say you\u2019re calling a company to return a product, but they need your order number. Instead of having to go \u201cone moment\u201d, frantically open your Mail app, and hope search works in a timely manner \u2013 Apple Intelligence will be able to just present the relevant information to you.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s example is with an airline, where Apple Intelligence is able to grab a user\u2019s confirmation number from the email. Apple describes it as working proactively, so in theory it can present data as your conversation is flowing. Here\u2019s how Apple describes the feature:<\/p>\n

When users call a business, Call Context proactively surfaces relevant information \u2014 like a confirmation code or reservation number \u2014 directly in the Phone app. For example, if a user calls an airline to change a flight, the Phone app can automatically find their confirmation code in Mail. Call Context looks at who the user is calling, not what they\u2019re saying, to surface helpful information; it runs entirely on device, so nothing is shared with Apple or anyone else.<\/p>\n

So, starting with iOS 27 (and if you have a device compatible with Siri AI \u2013 meaning iPhone 15 Pro or later), you\u2019ll have far less of a hassle during customer service phone calls.<\/p>\n
