I haven\u2019t got much to do on it, but I\u2019ll go for four or five weeks. I\u2019ll be there for a few weeks. I\u2019m so excited to see it as a fan,\u201d Farrell told <a href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/the-batman-2-colin-farrell-penguin-return-filming-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Collider<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAbout the script, the actor said, \u201cIt\u2019s extraordinary,\u201d adding, \u201cMatt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFarrell had previously teased the script, saying on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QbTO8LGe2bw\">Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast, \u201cI had many thoughts to share with Matt about the script. I really do think it\u2019s a masterwork. Kind of a contemporary genre masterwork. It\u2019s so brilliant, and Robert has got such a lovely journey to go on and take the audience through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe continued, \u201cIt\u2019s dense, it\u2019s really really intelligent, it\u2019s so deep and detailed. I\u2019m saying too much. I think he\u2019s going to make an extraordinary film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn a separate interview, Farrell teased how The Penguin leads right into <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-batman-part-ii\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-batman-part-ii\" data-tag=\"the-batman-part-ii\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Batman Part II<\/a>, telling <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/colin-farrell-reveals-betting-odds-for-the-penguin-season-2-and-how-the-show-leads-into-the-batman-sequel\/\">ComicBook<\/a>, \u201cIt conveniently worked that the death at the end of The Batman and the devastation within Gotham opened up a power vacuum that then Oz could try and capitalize on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThat was perfect for the parallel eight hours that we had,\u201d he added. \u201cAnd then [The Batman Part II] will pick up, whatever, a few weeks after the show ended.
