Earlier this year, Apple updated<\/a> its iOS and iPadOS usage figures, showing adoption just a smidge behind iOS 18 and iOS 17 in the months after their releases. Here are the updated numbers.<\/p>\n Are people still updating to iOS 26 and iPadOS 26?<\/p>\n Every year, around WWDC, Apple updates its iOS and iPadOS usage numbers, offering a glimpse of how fast (or slowly) users are adopting the current system.<\/p>\n This week, Apple updated its adoption rate figures with data \u201cmeasured by devices that transacted on the App Store on June 7, 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Apple\u2019s new numbers, of all iPhones introduced in the last four years:<\/p>\n 86% are running iOS 26<\/p>\n 11% are running iOS 18<\/p>\n 3% are running earlier versions<\/p>\n When it comes to all iPhones in use that can run iOS 26<\/a>:<\/p>\n 79% are running iOS 26<\/p>\n 14% are running iOS 18<\/p>\n 7% are running earlier versions<\/p>\n As for the iPad, here\u2019s the adoption rate of iPadOS 26 on devices introduced in the last four years:<\/p>\n 79% are running iPad 26<\/p>\n 16% are running iPad 18<\/p>\n 5% are running earlier versions<\/p>\n Finally, considering all iPad models that are compatible with iPadOS 26<\/a>:<\/p>\n 68% are running iPad 26<\/p>\n 17% are running iPad 18<\/p>\n 15% are running earlier versions<\/p>\n Compared with the data from February, iOS 26 adoption grew 12% for iPhones released in the last four years and 13% for all compatible iPhones, while iPadOS 26 adoption grew 13% and 11%, respectively.<\/p>\n When it comes to how iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 fare against the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 adoption figures from last June<\/a>, both are 2% behind for devices released in the last four years, and 3% behind overall.<\/p>\n To learn more about iOS and iPadOS adoption figures, follow this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n Are you still avoiding iOS 26 and iPadOS 26?
