{"id":696517,"date":"2026-06-10T22:43:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T22:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/696517\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T22:43:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T22:43:10","slug":"elevation-point-forecasts-5b-in-new-assets-in-second-half-of-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/696517\/","title":{"rendered":"Elevation Point Forecasts $5B in New Assets in Second Half of \u201826"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The minority investor and registered investment advisor platform Elevation Point anticipates adding another $5 billion to its stable in 2026, co-founder and CEO Jim Dickson said on the sidelines of the Wealth Management EDGE conference at The Boca Raton resort in Boca Raton, Fla.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The Minneapolis-based self-styled \u201caccelerator\u201d for RIAs has already added $5 billion in new assets this year, and expects to roughly match that in the next six months, Dickson said in an interview with Founding Partner and President Brad Smithy. The firm <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/back-to-work-jim-dickson-launches-minority-ria-investment-firm\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">has grown to $13.2 billion in assets since launching in mid-2024<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cThe back half of the year is going to be very busy,\u201d Dickson said. \u201cAdvisors are partnering with us because they want to double or triple the business. But when you look at our existing book, the average age of a head partner is about 45 years old, and usually a team of three or four &#8230; when you launch a business, you hope that\u2019s your demographic, but when it becomes that, you get excited.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-component=\"related-article\" class=\"RelatedArticle\">Related:<a class=\"RelatedArticle-RelatedContent\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/ria-growth-strategies-from-the-top\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Organic Growth Strategies from RIA Leaders<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The competition among other investors is fiercer than ever, Dickson said, including new minority investors that have entered the market even since the firm launched. Dickson said that when Elevation Point started, he told his partners they\u2019d \u201chave about 18 months\u201d before there were similar movers, and it happened even faster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cThe barrier to entry is capital, and there\u2019s more capital chasing this space than ever before,\u201d Dickson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">In May 2025, Elevation Point <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/emigrant-takes-minority-stake-in-jim-dickson-s-elevation-point\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sold a minority stake<\/a> to a long-term minority investor in the space, Emigrant Partners, which is Emigrant Bank\u2019s RIA capital and advisory services arm. But to continue pursuing the goal of hitting $50 billion in the next two years, Dickson said the firm will seek an additional capital infusion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019d be na\u00efve not to say that we, at some point, might need more than just getting the office capital, which is what we\u2019ve taken today,\u201d Dickson said. \u201cEmigrant has been wonderful, but we\u2019re really careful about a couple of things. No. 1, we don\u2019t want to give up control. &#8230; No. 2, we\u2019re going to need a lot of capital, so we need to have a partner that can really be able to come with us and be able to grow with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Citywire has previously reported that Elevation Point was in the market seeking an investor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Not all new growth will come from adding firms, Dickson and Smith said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">They are at work on an artificial intelligence-backed wealth workstation they call Basecamp, designed to be customizable to a team\u2019s specific book of business, reduce back-office work, and \u201csave them two or three employees over time,\u201d Dickson said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-component=\"related-article\" class=\"RelatedArticle\">Related:<a class=\"RelatedArticle-RelatedContent\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/focus-founder-rudy-adolf-targets-blue-collar-trades\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rudy Adolf\u2019s Second Act<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cThe client review agent will build the client review based on how they train it at the individual client level, instead of training it at the Elevation Point level or the Dynasty level or the Sanctuary level,\u201d Dickson said, referring to competitor platforms, including the one <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/sanctuary-s-ceo-jim-dickson-suddenly-departs-the-firm\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">he founded in Sanctuary Wealth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Smithy said the firm has also been pleasantly surprised by how existing firms have been expanding wallet share with existing clients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cWhat I didn\u2019t estimate accurately was how many clients had money in multiple locations,\u201d he said. \u201cMaybe they didn\u2019t like their original brand as much, but once they moved, there was a new brand, new independence and a new custodian.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Earlier this year, Elevation Point took its eleventh minority stake in an Atlanta-based team managing $1.3 billion in assets <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/career-moves\/elevation-point-takes-minority-stake-in-13b-hampton-bluff-capital-partners\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">before breaking away from UBS<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Other minority investors, however, have also been on the move.
