Lamar Jackson has a new offensive coordinator and a new offense. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s had that before but not like this. In previous coordinator transitions, the offense had some carryover in schemes, concepts and terminology.<\/p>\n

Declan Doyle, who worked under Ben Johnson last season, is installing things that wide receiver Zay Flowers says he\u2019s \u201cnever seen before.\u201d<\/p>\n

That has Jackson working as hard as he has in any offseason since his rookie year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m being challenged<\/a> right now,\u201d Jackson said, via The Baltimore Banner. \u201cIt\u2019s a new system [with] a lot of terminology within this system. Nothing really transitioned over from the last system.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doyle is coaching Jackson hard, sometimes using expletives with his quarterback to make his point. That, Jackson said, is something he \u201cwasn\u2019t used to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a coachable player,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cSometimes he sees things that I don\u2019t see. Sometimes I see things that he might have not thought of. And it\u2019s just great to have. We piggyback off of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson was 6-7 last season, the first time he has had a losing record.
