Spencer Pratt appeared to concede the Los Angeles<\/a> mayor\u2019s race on Friday in a new video where he says \u201cthe campaign portion of my mission to save Los Angeles is coming to a close\u201d, but declares \u201cwar\u201d against the two candidates advancing to the city\u2019s general election.<\/p>\n

In the video<\/a> posted on social media, Pratt notably did not contest the results of the election, despite Donald Trump\u2019s repeated, but unfounded claims<\/a> the race was \u201crigged\u201d. Trump, who endorsed Pratt, called California\u2019s elections \u201ccrooked\u201d.<\/p>\n

Although Pratt previously said he would leave LA if he did not win the election, the former reality TV star said in Friday\u2019s video he is just starting his campaign to \u201csave\u201d LA.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Nithya Raman, the progressive city councilmember, edged out Pratt to advance in the mayoral race. Raman will face the incumbent Karen Bass<\/a> in November\u2019s general election.<\/p>\n

In his video, Pratt claimed to have information that could be damaging to either Raman\u2019s or Bass\u2019s campaign. \u201cWe have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame. I was saving it for the general election,\u201d Pratt said.<\/p>\n

In a May interview<\/a> with Adam Carolla, a podcast host, Pratt said: \u201cIf Karen Bass gets re-elected or Nithya gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in LA.\u201d<\/p>\n

But in Friday\u2019s video, Pratt said: \u201cI\u2019m moving on to the next, more interesting phase,\u201d adding: \u201cI don\u2019t have campaign laws hamstringing me now. It\u2019s war.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t get in this for political power, I got in this to expose this corrupt machine. Nothing\u2019s changed. You enjoy your worthless meetings at city hall,\u201d he said. \u201cYou think your election is going to stop me. If you want to stop me, you\u2019re going to have to fucking kill me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pratt launched his campaign in January on the one-year anniversary of the Palisades fire, the largest wildfire in Los Angeles county history, which destroyed his Pacific Palisades home. He centered concerns about the wildfire and the future of Los Angeles in his campaign<\/a>, framing the city as facing an apocalyptic moment.<\/p>\n

As a registered Republican running in largely Democratic Los Angeles, which has not elected a Republican mayor in more than 20 years, Pratt faced an uphill battle, even when he secured Trump\u2019s endorsement in May.
